At CrawfordsPRC, we have proudly served the domestic cleaning needs of local families for years. Our reputation for care, trust, and thorough carpet cleaning has been a source of pride since we first began trading in 2016 as a Which Trusted Trader. Nearly a decade later, our focus is evolving. As of 2025, we are formally stepping away from domestic carpet cleans and ending our annual membership to Which.

Instead, we are answering a deeper and more urgent need in our communities—supporting vulnerable adults and elderly people who have been admitted to hospital and are preparing to return home.

Over the last two decades, Karon and I have sucked up thousands of tonnes of water (and dirt) from floors around Weston-super-Mare, hotel carpets from The Marriott Group in Bristol and Twickenham to private Airbnb properties. Our dedication to the local community is founded on a caring outlook, which naturally leans towards extending our commitment to local authorities and Adult Social Care services.

For many people living alone, especially those without close family or support networks, the condition of their homes can deteriorate quietly. Whether due to hoarding tendencies or a simple lack of physical ability, the results can be distressing and unsafe. This is where Crawfords Extreme Clean steps in. We offer whole-home hygiene resets that are discreet, dignified, and deeply effective, making properties habitable and pest free, often within a single day. We work with sensitivity and without judgement, always respecting the life that has been lived in the space.

In Somerset and North Somerset, many local authority adult care services provide reablement support, especially during the transition from hospital to home. These include:

• Somerset Council Help After Hospital Stay – working with NHS partners to deliver the Home First model.
• North Somerset Council TRI Service – offering support packages for isolated adults.

Many charities also play a pivotal role. Age UK Somerset and Age UK B&NES offer short-term practical support through Home from Hospital services.
